Dullstroom is a hidden gem nestled in the heart of Mpumalanga. It is best known for its breathtaking landscapes, quaint charm, and tranquil atmosphere.
We’ve had the privilege of capturing the wonder of many weddings in this idyllic setting – from intimate ceremonies, to grand celebrations, each Dullstroom wedding tells its own unique love story.
The story of Shannon Tim was very special. It started with the help of their friends leading up to the ceremony.
Intimate Wedding Moments
One of the things that sets Dullstroom weddings apart is the stunning natural beauty that surrounds them. With rolling hills, serene lakes, and lush forests.
Shannon & Tim’s wedding was an amazingly private event. It’s not often that we get to partake in weddings where the full guest list consists of the bridal party, and parents on both side, but that’s what we had here.
The Dullstroom Valley was a serene environment for this wedding. Tim and Shannon stood in-front of those closest to them, and their vows echoed at the foot of the mountain where forever would begin. Quite incredible.
Nature’s Wedding Wonder
Dullstroom provides the perfect backdrop for a romantic celebration of love. The natural beauty of the river and mountain added an extra touch of magic to this day, as Shannon and Tim spent the first moments of their union with a small circle of entrusted loved ones – and we were honoured to be able to capture the natural and candid moments on display throughout the day.
One of the perks of having a smaller wedding is the level of comfort that the bride and groom have with their guests. There’s a different kind of energy on offer among guests and the couple – equally as spectacular to grand setups.
What we love capturing is those natural moments that can’t be rehearsed. We always encourage our couples to just be themselves. We take a backseat as that kind of environment adds a level of beauty nobody but the bride and groom can create. We’re there to lean them into it where needed, and capture the magic as it unfolds.
It’s a pleasure being able to capture all those intimate looks, smirks and smiles – this Dullstroom Wedding was full of them 🙂
